Protecting critical infrastructure more effectively, in real time.

Critical infrastructure owned by governments and corporations faces the permanent security risks of attack, trespass, theft and vandalism. To prevent disruption to essential services and supply chains, potential security issues must be detected as early as possible and acted upon immediately.

There is a reliance on CCTV and access detection systems to provide protection. However, it has been proven that more cameras does not necessarily mean more effective security.

Security control room operators struggle to spot incidents when they have a bank of CCTV screens to monitor. If they do see something, the cameras may be so far away from a suspected incident that deciding when to escalate is difficult. This difficulty may be further compounded by having to work from low quality video streams.

iSentry from IntelexVision is an AI-powered real-time video monitoring platform that enables effective real-time CCTV monitoring regardless of location even over long distances.

Compatible with most existing CCTV systems, iSentry’s AI-powered TREX (Threat Ranking and Extraction) provides advanced perimeter and area motion analysis. It works well whether covering large or small areas. It outperforms all competing systems in remote areas where light is limited and where there is possible image interference from environmental noise such as high winds, moving foliage or movement of animals.

Following installation, TREX analyses footage from all camera feeds and begins to define what might constitute an incident. It learns which people and objects to expect on-site and when to expect them. When it detects something suspicious or unexpected, TREX generates an alert.

As with all analytics in the iSentry ecosystem, every generated TREX alert is subject to a qualification process, effectively eliminating the vast majority of false alerts. This alert qualification process is achieved through data enrichment by multiple deep learning networks, as well as through iSentry logic testing.

Once this filtering is complete, an alert is sent to the control room operator who decides whether the highlighted incident represents a threat or not.

With iSentry, operators spend their time only viewing video clips of genuine events and incidents of interest. This has led to far higher incident detection rates in every location where iSentry is in operation.

iSentry also address a critical operational issue with most remote CCTV systems, – limited internet or telecommunications bandwidth, especially in remote locations. With iSentry the amount of video that requires transmission is hugely reduced as only events of interest are fed back to the control room.

Governments and businesses already use iSentry’s TREX to protect critical infrastructure.

iSentry provides accurate intrusion detection in all environmental conditions over both large and small geographical areas. Its technology enables effective real-time video monitoring while significantly reducing both false positives and operational costs.
